The Lesson is a micro budget horror film, and a satire on the education system as well as a challenge to the torture por genre. It combines a coming of age love story with a dark and bloody, intellectually driven main narrative, with a morally challenging and blackly comic antihero. The Lesson was officially selected for Film 4 FrightFest, Slamdance, Glasgow Film Festival and Fantasporto, Portugal. The Lesson was released in February 2016 in the UK with Icon Films under the FrightFest Presents Banner.
